Another Alternative, Inc. is a social services agency. We provide community-based health maintenance and support services to the elderly, persons with physical disabilities, and those recovering from accidents and/or illnesses. Another Alternative, Inc. has been providing services for over 20 years.

Our mission is to prevent or delay unwanted or unnecessary institutional placement. Nurses, social workers, and other staff work with the client and/ or the client's family to develop an individual plan of care that utilizes the most appropriate services designed to assist the client in achieving the goal of independence, improve level of functioning, or to maintain current level of functioning.

We are an approved provider of CCSP (Community Care Services Program) and SOURCE waiver programs and management agency.

CCSP and SOURCE are Medicaid waiver programs. Through these programs, Medicaid assists in paying the cost of community-based care as an alternative to nursing home care, for frail elderly and persons with medical conditions that prevent them from caring for themselves. Individuals must meet requirements to participate. They are also required to receive services through an approved CCSP and Source provider.

Our services

Personal Care Homes

Personal Care Homes are available to those clients requiring 24-hour supervised care and/ or assistance with one or more of the activities of daily living ( dressing, grooming, bathing, meals, toileting, etc). The level of care provided depends on the individual's needs, allowing the resident to be as independent as possible.
Personal Care Homes are licensed by the State of Georgia Department of Community Health Office of Healthcare Facility Regulation.

Respite Care

Being a full-time caregiver is admirable. However, it can be mentally, emotionally, and physically taxing on the caregiver. Respite Care provides the caregiver with short-term relief (1 to 14 days). This care is provided in our Personal Care Homes. Respite residents receive the same care and services as our long-term residents. Respite Care allows you the caregiver an opportunity to take care of YOU. If you do not take care of yourself, you will not be able to take care of others.

Geriatric Care Consulting

Our trained Social Work and Geriatric professionals can help find resources to make your daily life easier. They will work with the client/ and or the client's family to form a long-term care plan and find the services needed to age in place.

Care Partnerships

As a CCSP and SOURCE management agency, Another Alternative offers care partnership opportunities for Family Model PCHs. We are currently accepting applications for new care partnerships. The PCH must be licensed by the State of Georgia Department of Community Health, Office of Health Care Facilities Regulation. The PCH must be licensed to care for 2-6 residents, cannot be under contract with another agency or program, and can not have any deficiencies.
